Fall Extravaganza

Photos by Kathy West

A little rain didn’t dampen spirits during the 2021 Special Olympics Indiana-Marion County Southside Storms Annual Fall Extravaganza fundraiser. After the pandemic halted last year’s activities, the Southside Storms bounced back to a fun-filled evening for the whole family. This year’s festivities included two bands (Bluegrass Time and Highway 9), chili cook-off, online auction, costume contest, hayrides, horse rides by Life Vantage Farms, games, delicious food (provided by the Knights of Columbus # 4449), and an opportunity for great fellowship among athletes and their families.

The evening also paid tribute to two athletes (Chris Bowling and Chris Kimbley) and one coach/volunteer (Keith Carpenter) whom the Marion County Southside Storm family sadly lost during the past year.
