Special Olympics Indiana – Marion County Southside Storms blew in and soaked the competition while enjoying lasting friendships during the 2019 Summer State Games and annual dance under the stars.
This year’s 2019 Summer State Games in Terre Haute continued the year-long celebration marking the 50-year anniversary of inclusion and respect for people with special needs through participating in Special Olympics.
The lighting of the cauldron during the 2018 Summer State Games Opening Ceremony in Terre Haute kicked-off the year-long celebration honoring 50 years of athletes achieving dreams and overcoming life obstacles and adversity through motivation, teamwork, friendships, and sports.
