This year, Special Olympics Indiana Area 8 Track and Field Sectional Games at Ben Davis High School managed to happen without rain — despite the weeks of wet-weather leading up to the May 11th events. The Special Olympics Indiana – Marion County South Side Storm athletes showed up in full force and proved to be a force to be reckoned with. Athletes ran, jumped, threw, and even swam their way into qualifying for the Summer State Games in Terre Haute which will be held in June.
This year’s Special Olympics Indiana Summer State Games will continue the year-long celebration commemorating 50 years of inclusion for special-needs individuals.
