This year’s Special Olympics Indiana – Marion County South Fall Extravaganza, formerly known as the Chili Cook-off, promised to be bigger and better than ever. Despite the extremely high winds and unseasonably freezing temperatures, the event delivered a great evening of fun for the whole family as anticipated.
Although the pony and horse rides had to cancel due to the blustery conditions, all the other typical activities — chili cook-off, food, clowns, band, silent auction, face painting, games, costume contest, and hayrides braved the weather and resulted in smiling faces while raising money for a great cause.
This was the second year the silent auction was posted online prior to the event and bidding continued through the website during the event. The new process provides a faster, more convenient auction experience and speeds up check out times for the high bidders.
