The rain held-off as Special Olympics Indiana – Marion County South athletes competed with fellow Area 8 Special Olympians in the Spring Games for Track and Field at Ben Davis High School on Saturday, May 12th.
Southside Storm participants rose to the occasion and captured several medals and ribbons during the Area 8 Spring Games. Next stop in the road to athletic greatness is Summer State Games in Terre Haute on June 8th, 9th, and 10th to compete against athletes from all over Indiana.
This year marks the 50th Annual (49th Anniversary) of Special Olympics Summer Games.
