A few familiar faces were among the 315 honored guests when several Marion County Southside Storm athletes traded in their sneakers for a more polished look during their “Night to Shine” which was hosted by Mount Pleasant Christian Church in Greenwood on Friday, February 10, for the second consecutive year.
“A Night to Shine”, sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation and more than 350 host churches in 50 states and 11 countries provides an opportunity for special-needs adults, 14 and older, to experience a night out on the town to dance the night away in a formal setting with all the frills and enjoy an unforgettable prom experience.
The local event was made possible due to the support and love of 600 volunteers, along with 350 caregivers and parents.
