CONGRATULATIONS LIGHTNING ON BRINGING HOME THE SILVER!
The Cubs FINALLY made it to the World Series this year; but, they don’t have anything on the Special Olympics Indiana – Marion County Southside Storm who blew-in and made their presence known during the Eunice Kennedy Shriver (EKS) Games to end the 2016 Special Olympics softball season. Five Southside Storm teams (Lightning, Sunami, Tornados, Hurricanes, and Thunder) earned a spot in the tournament and represented Marion County South, soaking the competition and proving, once again, that the Southside Storm teams are a force to be reckoned. Although the competition was fierce, the Lightning struck back and won silver after an impressive display of athletic prowess and perseverance to the end!
