Although April 1st is officially dubbed as April Fool’s Day and typically involves innocent pranks and jokes, this April Fool’s Day brought a special opportunity to Rusty Hatchett and Amber McClain of Special Olympics Indiana – Marion County South. They, along with other friends, joined Down Syndrome Indiana (DSI) self-advocates to take a behind-the-scenes look at WISH-TV 8 and explore just what it takes to report and broadcast the news to Indianapolis everyday.
While at the station, Rusty, Amber, and friends met two local news celebrities – Randy Ollis (weather) and David Barras (news anchor) and took advantage of a “Kodak moment”.
