Several Special Olympics Indiana – Marion County South athletes hit the field at Lucas Oil Stadium and performed with the Colts cheerleaders as Junior Colts Cheerleaders during the pregame show at the January 3rd Colts victory against the Tennessee Titans. Many of the Southside Storm athletes who participated in Sunday’s pregame show are also members of the Franklin Central High School Sparkles Cheer Squad. The Franklin Central Sparkles are registered under a national organization known as “The Sparkle Effect” which promotes unity for students with and without disabilities through cheerleading and dance. Other groups besides Special Olympics Indiana – Marion County South and the Franklin Central Sparkles that participated in the amazing opportunity offered by the Colts organization included members from Down Syndrome Indiana and Special Olympics Indiana – Washington Township.
